okay , i got one stupidly simple way to do this
1 : open the model by HLMV
2 : click on the texture tab
3 : choose the sleeves texture
4 : import a completely black texture
5 : click the addictive or something box to the right off the sleeve's texture name box
6 : save the models .............. then walla ! it simple too do and simple to add the sleeve again by the same way
i can't use 3dmaxs so i have to remove sleeves this way
if you can't do it , tell me and i'll do it for ya
