[CS 1.6]Removing Chrome

soo...heres a little lesson for people that got black on their model...(or people with low pc)

required programs :
Milk Shape 3D (registered)
Jed's HLMV
first check the model that's with chrome u wanted to remove
in this case im gonna use Zyncs MW3 AK47

see that black texture? it's chrome so in game u see a black model but not in hlmv
2nd open up MS3D and go to tools and click Krasito's Half Life Model Decompiler
then find the model that u want to decompile...

3rd...open up the .qc file with notepad

4th find the reference mesh(es) line
now delete ALL the chrome reference

5th Now go back to MS3D and click on tools - half life - compile qc file...
Now your model shouldn't be black in game now Very Happy

its because you forgot to make the chrome texture " ADDITIVE "

no, i ever try to play cs on software mode... and all chromed weapons will be black.. even on additive. Very Happy

i thought all CS with "software" mode graphics, the chromed/additivied will be black..

nope...i turned it on...but the chrome works...

yeah if you play on software mode the chrome will be black, the only way to remove it is decompiling the model Razz
